Golf Holidays and Golfing Breaks to Portugal on the Lisbon Golf Coast an ideal alternative to the busier winter sun destinations. This golfing holiday region boasts numerous relatively uncluttered championship golf courses (a number of which have hosted the Portuguese Golf Open) as well as one or two other, lesser “tracks” that will not get a mention here. The Lisbon Golf Coast covers an area of about 20 x 60km the most northerly point being the mediaeval town of Obidas down to Sesimbra, the region’s southerly point. In the middle lies the city of Lisbon.
There are seventeen courses in the region plus Troia, although strictly speaking this course is in the Alentejo region. However as it is only a short ferry crossing from Setabul, I have included it here. Ten of the courses are well worth the visit and in no particular order of preference, the following will undoubtedly be added to your list of favourite venues.
